Dr. Richard H. Brown Jr., PhD
Dr. Richard Brown holds a MA and PhD in musicology from the University of Southern California. He has consulted on cases involving infringement, similarity, and originality for major artists in the industry, and has over a decade of experience and training in music theory, including advanced tonal analysis, transcription, and structural analysis.
He has published extensively on the music and film industry, including his forthcoming book, Through The Looking Glass: John Cage and Avant-Garde Cinema, at Oxford University Press (2017).
Jeffrey Kirchner, MA
Jeffrey received his MA in music theory and composition from UCLA and is the founder and owner of Tip Top Studios, a Los Angeles based recording studio. He has worked in all areas of the film and music industry, where he mainly focuses his talents on producing, film composing, and sound engineering. Jeff currently works as a sound engineer for Netflix composing, editing, and mixing new innovative content. Prior to working at Netflix, Jeff was a professor at the Art Institute of California, Los Angeles teaching music business and audio production courses.
